Some of our new steering team ladies.
Steering Team
The Ladies' Ministries Steering Team meets on the fourth Wednesday each month to brainstorm, plan, and evaluate events and programs for the women of His Place.
These ladies are the main branches of the Minis-tree, using the gifts and talents God has given them to serve the women at His Place. Each branch has its twigs and leaves, so the work does not stop with just the steering team. Instead, we hope to spread the work among other volunteers to lighten each person's load, while developing as much "fruit" as possible.

There will be many different program coordinators on the steering team. They will administer the details related to the volunteers, publicity, meetings, timelines, agendas, etc. needed for their programs.
Event Coordinators: One woman will organize a single event, such as the annual Christmas event. A different woman should be coordinator for each major event.
Bible Study Coordinators: Each large-scale Bible study will have one coordinator.
Program Coordinators: Any ongoing program for women at His Place (e.g. MOPS or the ladies' cancer support group) will have one coordinator, but some may need to develop their own steering teams from the women involved in that ministry.
Those coordinators will be a part of the steering team and invited to attend the monthly meetings. Their attendance will depend on the timing and needs of their event/program. By being a part of the steering team, they will have access to the support and resources of the other steering team members as well as open communication about projects.
Program coordinators will be working with the Ladies' Ministries Administrator and the entire steering team, so hopefully they will not feel overwhelmed with their duties. Leadership training will also be provided along the way.
