Ladies' Ministries Training: We are already thinking ahead to filling our ministry positions for the 2009-2010 ministry year. We have several openings in Ladies' Ministries including LM Administrator and Publicity Team Leader, as well as the option to coordinate a new event or program. If you'd like to join in the fun of serving the women of His Place on the Ladies' Ministries steering team next year or if you're interested in coordinating an event or program for women, please contact Shawna Wright at 854-0340 or shawna@hisplaceladies.com.

Next Her Place: His Place Ladies: Join us in the sanctuary, for the next Her Place @ His Place, on Saturday, June 6th. Find more information about this ongoing event on the registration page. This month there are two great workshops to choose from: "Finding and Enabling Your Child’s Giftedness" and "Grow Your Own Garden". Register today or call Debbra Sligar at 422-7030. Suggested donation for this fun event is $5.00 per person, paid at the door. Free childcare is available on a reserved basis; please call Maria Alvarez at 770-8812 by no later than the Monday before the event, June 1st, to reserve your spot.

Girlfriends Unlimited Groups: Ladies’ Ministries now has some special interest groups for women. To find a group that might interest you or find facilitators' contact information, check the small groups section of the website. With groups like Gamin' Gals, Sassy Scrappers & Such, Servant Sisters, Hiker Chicks, Biker Chicks, and Radiant Readers, there's sure to be something you'd enjoy. If you are interested in facilitating a small group please contact Tammie Reichlin, our small groups coordinator, at ctreichlin@clearwire.net or at 770-7531.

Ladies' Teams: Our teams are now taking form, but there is always more room for willing hearts. We hope team members will get to know each other as they work together to serve the women of His Place and our community. If you want to get involved, join one of these teams: food, decor, greeters, arts & crafts, drama, music, publicity, prayer, childcare, teaching, signups & sales, and setup & cleanup. Join us by signing up online or contacting Shawna Wright at 854-0340.

Childcare List: Some women in our church need childcare to take advantage of what Ladies' Ministries has to offer. Our hope is to provide a limited number of spots by having two adults available for events whenever possible. If you would enjoy serving your sisters in this way contact our Childcare Coordinator, Maria Alverez, at 770-8812 or email her at maria@hisplaceladies.com.

Her Place @ His Place

At "Her Place" you'll be able to enjoy a special time just for you here at our church. We'll be meeting for a light breakfast in the fellowship area of the sanctuary on the first Saturday of most months.

Meeting around our new round tables will bring us a chance to fellowship with each other as we eat, worship, and learn together. The doors will open for food and fellowship at 9:30 am and the program will begin at 10:00 am.

Each month we'll spend some time in worship, hear a main speaker and then we'll have the opportunity to attend one of two different workshops. If you want a place to "plug in" at His Place, "Her Place" is your place. Click the "registration" button above to register to attend or stop by the main office.

Ladies' Bible Study

Ladies of all ages and all stages of Bible knowledge are invited to enroll in these popular studies by Beth Moore. Over the years, these
Spring 2009 Bible Study
studies have proven themselves to gently draw participants into a more intimate relationship with the Lord, while providing the opportunity to form meaningful relationships with other ladies.

Over the course of ten weeks, women gather together weekly in small groups in the sanctuary to discuss completed lessons. Afterward, Beth Moore presents (via projected video) additional insights with passion and humor, encouraging us to apply to our lives what we have freshly studied in God’s Word. Enrollment for these studies is held twice a year (fall and late winter) on a first-come, first-served basis. Early enrollment is encouraged as enrollment is closed on the last day of registration. Studies are usually scheduled on Tuesday evenings (7:00 - 9:00 pm) and Wednesday mornings (10:00 - 12:00 noon).

Watch for enrollment announcements in the bulletin.

MOPS

Moms of preschoolers are invited to take a break twice a month from the demands of their precious infants and tots by enrolling in MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). While your children have fun in the Ark, moms (like you) meet in the sanctuary to enjoy humorous and inspirational speakers, discussions, simple crafts, goodies to munch and lots and lots of mom-to-mom conversation without a child attached to your leg!

Registration is open throughout the year based upon Moppets (child care program) openings available. MOPS meet the first and third Tuesday from September to May from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Please call Summer Schafer at 854-9472 for more information on how to sign up.

The yearly registration fee is $25, and the meeting fee is $5 per meeting (suggested donation).
