Current Events and Needs
Welcome
Dear girlfriends,Last year at this time we were just kicking off this new Ladies’ Ministries. The theme of “Branching Out” reminded us to deepen the roots of this minis- ”tree” as it was a sapling, needing tender care and cultivation to get it growing. And we have!
I’m sure there is plenty more growth where that came from, but bigger isn’t necessarily better. We are aiming for a healthy tree and with that comes our new focus for the coming year... Connections. One of the things we hear most from ladies is that they want to connect with others in their church. This can start at large-scale ladies’ events, but it deepens and really comes alive in small groups of individuals with common interests.
This winter we hope to introduce some options for women’s small groups. These can be based on a Bible study, a special interest, or even be a “meet and greet” one-time event to get to know others like you. We’ll be looking for ladies that want to host these, so be praying about whether that is a direction in which the Lord is guiding you. More information and resources will be coming on that program, so be watching.
I hope that you are willing to join us in this new adventure. As we grow, it takes more ladies willing to do a small part to help it all come together. Volunteering in those small jobs is just one more (and possibly easier) way to connect with other gals at His Place. Please consider filling out the survey below and returning it to the church so we can help you fit in where you’d most enjoy being! (We’ve made the form easier to fill out too!) I love this journey of getting to know more of you!

But blessed is the [woman] who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. [She] will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV
Interest Survey
You can still fill out an interest survey if you want to get connected in a way that suits your gifts, strengths, passions and personality. You may print the "Ladies' Ministries Contact Sheet & Interest Survey", fill it out, and turn it in at the church office. The steering team leaders can access these surveys so when opportunities arise in your areas of interest they will be able to contact you.
Hospitality Team Leader & Event Coordinators Needed
The Hospitality Team leader position has opened up on Steering Team. We would love to have someone join us that enjoys creating a special atmosphere in the areas of food and decor. She will help us find other ladies willing to help in these areas. Also, in order for any event or program to take place, we must have a coordinator. If you think you might be interested in coordinating anything from a small Bible study to a large event or joining our steering team in hospitality, please contact Shawna Wright at ladies@hisplacechurch.com or call at (360)854-0340.
God bless you all,Shawna Wright

Her Place @ His Place
At "Her Place" you'll be able to enjoy a special time just for you here at our church. We'll be meeting for a light breakfast in the fellowship area of the sanctuary on the first Saturday of most months.
Meeting around our new round tables will bring us a chance to fellowship with each other as we eat, worship, and learn together. The doors will open for food and fellowship at 9:30 am and the program will begin at 10:00 am.
Each month we'll spend some time in worship, hear a main speaker and then we'll have the opportunity to attend one of three different workshops. If you want a place to "plug in" at His Place, "Her Place" is your place. Click the "registration" button above to register to attend or stop by the main office.

Ladies' Bible Study

Over the course of ten weeks, women gather together weekly in small groups in the sanctuary to discuss completed lessons. Afterward, Beth Moore presents (via projected video) additional insights with passion and humor, encouraging us to apply to our lives what we have freshly studied in God’s Word. Enrollment for these studies is held twice a year (fall and late winter) on a first-come, first-served basis. Early enrollment is encouraged as enrollment is closed on the last day of registration. Studies are usually scheduled on Tuesday evenings (7:00 - 9:00 pm) and Wednesday mornings (10:00 - 12:00 noon).
Watch for enrollment announcements in the bulletin.
MOPS
Moms of preschoolers are invited to take a break twice a month from the demands of their precious infants and tots by enrolling in MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). While your children have fun in the Ark, moms (like you) meet in the sanctuary to enjoy humorous and inspirational speakers, discussions, simple crafts, goodies to munch and lots and lots of mom-to-mom conversation without a child attached to your leg!
Registration is open throughout the year based upon Moppets (child care program) openings available. MOPS meet the first and third Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Please call Michelle Dickerhoof at 333-5596 and she will be glad to welcome you to the next meeting.
The yearly registration fee is $25, and the meeting fee is $5 per meeting (suggested donation).

Ladies of all crafting abilities are encouraged to bring their own supplies and project for one night a month of fellowship and fun.
