The summer is coming to a close and now it is time to gear up for all the great things that start with the fall. School will soon be back in session and the weather will turn cooler (hopefully not too cool, too fast though!)

Hi there ladies!

Ahh, sunshine. Two words: Love. It. Because the sun just recently graced us with its presence, I must admit, it’s hard to think ahead to fall. That said, fall means Bible study and spending time with all of you and that puts a smile on my face! I hope you plan to join me for the ladies’ fall Bible study, by Jennifer Rothschild.

Jennifer has been a featured speaker for the nation’s largest conference for women, Women of Faith, and has teamed up with Beth Moore and others to lead national women’s conferences. Known for her substance, and a down-to-earth style, Jennifer weaves together colorful illustrations, universal principles, and music to help audiences find contentment, walk with endurance, and celebrate the ordinary.

Words are powerful. Especially the words we speak to ourselves. All too often, what we say to ourselves when we lie in bed at night or look in the mirror in the morning is not even close to the words God wants to speak to our souls. This study written especially for women, will encourage you to clean out the junk in your thoughts and replace hidden negative thoughts with positive truths from God's word.

Join me for Me, Myself, and Lies; together, let’s learn to recognize what we say to ourselves and begin to speak truth to our souls. Registration begins Sunday, August 15th and closes on Sunday, August 29th. Please sign up soon for this 7-week course. Remind your friends, too, so no one misses the deadline.

His Place is hosting the Living Proof Live simulcast event on Saturday, September 18th. 

Moms of preschoolers are invited to take a break twice a month from the demands of their precious infants and tots by enrolling in MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). While your children have fun in the Ark, moms (like you) meet in the sanctuary to enjoy humorous and inspirational speakers, discussions, simple crafts, goodies to munch and lots and lots of mom-to-mom conversation without a child attached to your leg!

MOPS is about celebrating motherhood, meeting needs, making connections, and experiencing God's love through relationships and resources. MOPS begins again on Tuesday, September 21st from 9:30am to 11:30am and will meet in the sanctuary from September to May on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month.

Registration is open throughout the year based upon Moppets (child care program) openings available. The yearly registration fee is $25, and the meeting fee is $5 per meeting (suggested donation).

The next Her Place will be on Saturday, October 2nd. As usual, we’ll enjoy food and fellowship, spend some time in worship, hear a main speaker and then enjoy some workshops together.
